A silver award in the special ‘Wildlife Friendly’ category to celebrate Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s 50th anniversary, was added to CLC Trenython Manor’s achievements at the recent Cornwall Tourism Awards 2012.

For manager Nick Waddington and his team, it was a triumph as the category had the most entries and staff take a keen interest in the resort’s ‘green’ credentials.

“Leaving a ‘green’ legacy for future generations is a personal passion, made possible by the positive attitude of our parent company, CLC World, and my team members who have been dedicated to the task,” he said.

Malcolm Bell, head of VisitCornwall, the Cornwall Development Company tourism service, congratulated all the winners and said the awards gave an opportunity for businesses to shine and celebrate their hard work and investment.
