The Queen celebrates 60 years of reign in June and is the second longest serving British monarch ever, only five other kings and queens in Britain have ruled for 50 years or more.
Needless to say, Great Britain is planning one of the biggest parties ever seen to commemorate the life and rule of Queen Elizabeth II. The main Jubilee celebrations will take place over the central weekend from Saturday 2 June to Tuesday 5 June.
The whole of the country will be decked out in red, white and blue and this is also true at our Cornwall resort of CLC Trenython Manor.
On Tuesday 5 June at CLC Trenython Manor, the whole day will be full of activities, music, entertainment and celebrations for all the family.
The guest lounge will be decorated with the Union Jack flags and live coverage of events will be showing on the television. Starting from 10am, coffee and cake will be served followed by a Jubilee cocktail.
A BBQ from noon on the terrace will be cooking a selection of lite bites including burgers and hotdogs. Afternoon tea will follow with delicious sandwiches and cakes on stands and a pot of tea or sparkling wine.
To keep the kids entertained throughout the day many fun activities have been planned including a bouncy castle on the lawn and archery on the lower terrace for over 8’s.
Jubilee arts & crafts, including face painting and crown making will be held in the kids club and a giant game of jenga will be set up on the grass. Children will also have a chance to feed the famous CLC Trenython Manor rabbits throughout the day and a children’s entertainer will be on hand from 1pm to 4pm.
If you are staying at Club La Costa World’s CLC Trenython Manor over the Jubilee celebrations, Tuesday 5 June is sure to be a fun filled and ideal way to celebrate 60 years of Queen Elizabeth II.
CLC Trenython Manor will also be open to members of the public if they wish to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee in style on Tuesday 5 June.
