In 2011, we won Gold. Now, four years later, we’ve gone Platinum with Cornwall’s prestigious CHEFS Award!
The Cornwall Healthier Eating and Food Safety award recognises our kitchen’s commitment to offering healthy menus and using locally sourced ingredients. This year, we can continue displaying our blue logo and upgraded certificate with pride, knowing that our dedication to exceptional food and hygiene standards has been recognised and applauded.
The award was set up by the Eden Project in 2005, in partnership with the Health Promotion Service and the NHS’s Change4Life campaign. It is all about healthy menu choices, starting with the ingredients and focussing on locally sourced produce: concepts that we believe in and practice at CLC Trenthyon Manor. The award has four achievement levels: Entry, Silver, Gold and, for the special few, Platinum.
To achieve the elite Platinum status, a restaurant has to have excelled itself and gain the Gold status three times. Since 2011, Trenython has steadily fulfilled this. Less than 30 Cornwall restaurants have been granted this prestigious status, out of the hundreds that display the CHEFS blue logo!Pop down to CLC Trenython Manor for a bite to eat or perhaps for your Easter Sunday lunch reservation, and discover what all the fuss is about.
