Christmas comes to Cornwall

December visitors at CLC Trenython Manor might like to hop along to Padstow where the festive spirit will be in full swing from the 7th to the 9th with craft stalls, celebrities, famous chefs and culinary delights all contributing to what promises to be a bustling Christmas Festival this year.

Cornish produced goodies, such as hand-made chocolates, mulled apple juice, chutneys, and gift ideas that include wooden toys, decorations, jewellery, candles and clothes, will fill stalls on the quayside. Entertainments planned include live cookery demonstrations, fireworks, a hog roast, a Santa fun run and more.

On the Saturday evening, with a £15 entry ticket you can add your voice and ‘Sing with the Stars’, the celebrity line-up includes Kate Adie, Ian McNeice, Jeremy Child and Robin Knox Johnston, at a carol concert in St Petroc church with proceeds to charity.

No surprise that the celebrity chefs taking part are headed by Rick Stein, owner of The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow whose foodie presence has led to the moniker ‘Padstein’. He and many other famous face chefs will be demonstrating their recipes.

It takes less than an hour’s drive to reach the pretty fishing port of Padstow from CLC Trenython Manor. Our comfortable hotel rooms and lodges, with an array of facilities that include a large heated swimming pool and spa treatment rooms, restaurant and bar, are the perfect place for relaxation any time of year.
