Cornwall’s hugely popular Eden Sessions music concerts have been a summer highlight since they began in 2002. Over the years world-class artists have given great performances in the spectacular setting of the Eden Project with its beautiful site and natural acoustics.
And this year the Cornish night air will be rent by the sound of Motorhead, reckoned to be the world’s loudest rock band, and their special guests The Stranglers.
Motorhead, formed in 1975, have sold more than 20 million records worldwide, and will headline the Eden Sessions on Saturday June 27th, for their first gig in Cornwall since 1983. Their single Ace of Spades is recognised as an all-time rock classic and their fusion of heavy metal, rock and punk has won over fans young and old.
The Stranglers have been around for four decades and are one of the longest surviving punk bands, with 17 UK top 40 albums and 23 UK top 40 singles to their credit. Concert goers can expect some ear-splitting head banging sounds.
Tickets are £35 plus a £5 booking fee for online booking and that includes entry to the world famous Eden Project on the day and the following day for further exploration. Motorhead and The Stranglers join an exciting line-up for this year’s Eden Sessions, which includes Paolo Nutini plus The Staves(Friday, June 12th), chart-topping singer/songwriter Ben Howard (Friday July 17th) and Sir Elton John (Tuesday/Wednesday June 16th and 17th).
The Eden Project is easily reached by car for guests at CLC Trenython Manor.
