The five-strong group Spandau Ballet were at the heart of the New Romantics scene which dominated the world of pop in the 1980s. For ten years their music helped define the 80s until an acrimonious royalty battle brought them crashing to earth.
The group split for 20 years. But since getting back together in 2009 and releasing a greatest hits album, the guys have been busy making a film and embarking on a sell-out Soul Boys of the Western World worldwide tour.
Their UK leg includes a headline appearance at the world- famous Eden Sessions, and brothers Martin and Gary Kemp, Tony Hadley, Steve Norman and John Keeble, will take to the stage at the Eden Project on Thursday July 9th. Legendary Blitz DJ Rusty Egan will appear as a special guest.
Tickets for this True Gold opportunity to see the band in action are on sale now and cost £40 plus £5 booking fee. Visit www.edensessions.com or call the box office on 01726 811972.
The world famous Eden Project and its iconic Biomes are easily reached by guests at CLC Trenython Manor. The Eden Sessions line-up this year is Paolo Nutini (June 12th-sold out), Elton John (June 16th and 17th – sold out), Paloma Faith (June 24th), Motorhead and The Stranglers (June 27th) and Ben Howard (July 17th – sold out).
